Volunteering with the Kitties

Not only is this a need for the cats and part of our program, this will also help us to assess what it may be like for the returning citizens who will do similar activities. The feedback will be invaluable for working out potential communication disconnects, training inefficiencies, etc.

These activities will also ultimately ensure that interaction between the returning citizens and foster cats can be smoother and hopefully more successful.

Examples of activities include:

• Stroller walks/jogs

• Farmers markets visits

• Short Backpack hikes

• Transit rides to veterinary or clinic appointments

• Rideshare training

• Visits to semi-crowded events of moderate volume

• And more

Please note, this is only for specific cats in Bow Tie Panther and volunteers and fosters must go through training with Mai before being approved for solo activities with the cats.
