Snowmobile was surrendered to us by a couple who didn’t realize they had purchased from a backyard breeder. Their two other kitties experienced health issues that were costing a ton and needed so much attention and Snowmobile wasn’t getting the care she needed with the skin issues she came with, leaving her confined to staying in a bathroom in order to contain the fungus.

They put a listing out and took their time to pick the right person to give up Snowmobile to in order to ensure she would be cared for properly and not end up as a breeder kitty herself.

We got her cared for and fixed, although her immune system will not let her shake her skin issues. (But the remaining ones aren’t contagious at least!) She is now a spoiled ball of fluff who sheds like crazy and spends her days zooming around with her bestie, Tushar the Snow Bengal. She also goes out and lets people know about Bow Tie Panther and why they shouldn’t support backyard breeders and how to spot them.

Some things to consider about fostering Snowmobile:

• No children please, she is not fond of them

• She can hide in small places and get stuck

• She is aggressive to other pets, this is common with munchkins

• She can’t play with regular cat structures

  • She can’t have access to high places in general without a clear, visible, and easy way back down

    • Even if she got up one way, she may not know how to get back down and may nervously jump if she sees you coming even though you are trying to help her back down

• She gets lonely, so she will need to be fostered with another kitty from Bow Tie Panther

• She sheds A LOT

• She needs to be given ear medication semi-frequently

• She shakes her tail when she’s happy/excited

• She knows she’s cute and would like you to acknowledge it often, especially when she does her wakey stretches

• She gets zoomies regularly, so it is easy to step on her

• She talks a lot and sometimes in at random hours at night which is probably her telling the others to play with her while she has zoomies.

  • She would like you to talk back if she is talking directly to you

• She likes getting face massages pretty regularly

• She does not like to be in the restroom with the door closed

• It’s unknown why, but she unfortunately does not like the Oakland Town Strides Run Club (even though we love them!)
